This is very unlike me… blogging I mean. I’ve never been described as outgoing or particularly open about my private life. And does the world really need another blog at this point? I find myself secretly hoping that nobody will ever read it, but I guess that defeats the purpose now doesn’t it?
Setting these concerns aside for now I’ve decided to charge ahead. Carpe Blogdom, or something like that. Now, let’s get cooking!

I felt the same reservations when I started my blog. I didn’t even tell my friends that I’d started it at first, because I was embarrassed to have anyone read it. I, for one, am very interested to hear what you have to say about your ex-pat experience. I’m hoping hoping hoping, though nothing is in writing yet, that the Navy will give us a three-year tour in Naples starting next summer, so I’m definitely keen on hearing about your challenges and successes in Frankfurt! My husband studied in Berlin for a year in college and he loves Germany, so I’m sure we’ll spend a good deal of time there if we make it to Europe. You’ve got yourself a reader! đ
@Eileen – Thank you so much for the warm welcome! Three years in Naples certainly sounds like it would be fun, fingers crossed that it works out. Adjusting to life here in Germany has certainly been an adventure, but after 4 years on this side of the Atlantic, it feels like home… well, most days anyway đ
